Its been over a month since my last blog and I feel like I haven't been able to accomplish anything. This year has been a hard one. The first year working full time and taking care of my family has been difficult for the most part. The guilt that I feel leaving my kids with a sitter or leaving for work before they get on the bus has not gotten any easier. They, of course help by making me feel bad when I'm not there but the second my foot enters the door they are no where to be found. I have been told that that's what is to be expected.
I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that 2010 will be different. I have some life altering goals in mind that I know I can accomplish if I really focus and get my head on straight..... in fact, why wait until 2010? I'm going to be different and instead of making a cliche "new years resolution" I'm just going to start reaching for my goals right now. Why not? Whats the worst that could happen........... I may actually surprise myself.

Let me just start by saying that I have never considered blogging up until now. A few of my co-workers have been doing it and it sounded interesting. I have always loved to write and maybe this will be a good outlet for me....who knows?
I'll begin my blog by telling you a little about myself. I am an almost 36yr. old (4 MORE DAYS TILL MY BIRTHDAY!!!! Yes...I like celebrating my birthday). I love to run and bike competitively and have set some personal records in the past, but my biggest accomplishment will always be my two children, Caleb and Reis. They have brought so much love and laughter into my life, nothing will ever compare. As a young adult I used to say that I never wanted children because of the way the world is but they were obviously meant to be and I couldn't imagine life without them. Just this morning my daughter (10) had my son and I laughing so hard talking about how environmentally aware she is by saying her farts are "green". Reduce, reuse, recycle she says! My sweet little girl......NOT!
That having been said. I will use this blog to keep myself motivated with my training, share good memories of my children and hopefully, for the very few people that will be interested in reading this, get a good laugh!!!
Just remember... when life gives you lemons, cut them in half, squeeze the juice on your hair and lay in the sun. This will save you $90 in highlights! Just sayin.....
